Children's Ministry

Welcome to our
Little Rays Children Ministry!

At Radiance, we believe that our children can authentically worship just like their parents. It’s our desire that our families would learn how to make Jesus #1 in their hearts and take practical steps to shine His light to the world.

Please join us for in-person
Children's Worship at 10:30am every Sunday!

Our Goals

01
To lead each child to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

02
To teach each child to love God and love people.
03
To provide opportunities for children to serve and to demonstrate the love of Christ.

Meet Our Pastor

Marie Kim
Marie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) from Biola University. After graduating, Marie spent 7 months serving in Mexico. Upon her return, God opened a door for her to serve as a children’s pastor in San Diego while earning a Master’s degree in Teaching at Biola University. After 3 years of ministry, she was sent to South Korea to serve as an elementary chaplain and 2nd-grade teacher at a Christian international school.  Recently, Marie has moved back to California and serves bi-vocationally as a public school elementary teacher and our Children's Ministry pastor at Radiance.

Curriculum

The Gospel Project® for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project® for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.

The Gospel Project follows the timeline of the Bible and connects its events to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Using this curriculum as a base point, we help our children learn Bible stories, memorize a topical verse every month, and participate in games and crafts that help solidify each week’s lesson.

All teachers and children (3+) are encouraged to wear masks while indoors. If your child is exhibiting any cold or flu-like symptoms, we kindly ask that you keep your children home and refrain from attending service in-person.

Additional Resources

We encourage parents to model what it means to worship in everyday life with your children. Whether it is singing songs together, sharing Quiet Times, practicing a memory verse, etc., there are many ways we can worship God! Check out the resources to help you get creative!
